"It is a good thing for the Indian car market. There will be an inevitable Indian influence on the brand - despite what TATA say. Processes from a marketing and manufacturing element will be learnt. Jaguar will also survive as the car company will get major exposure in one of the biggest markets. It is not a bad thing for the UK as at least it means the name still survives and the Britishness is still part of the marketing mix. Overall it is good. Inevitable, yes - more companies will go that way to India, China and Russia."
